New Year Resolution

Although I am very organized, I think I can become even more so.  So this is the year of the saner, more organized grandma.  The children are old enough to help out, Trinity already loads the washing machine and puts the clean clothes into the dryer.  They both  put away their own clothes.  Trinity also empties the dishwasher for us and Noah feeds the dogs.  The training is on going, they keep their rooms picked up, make their beds daily, and once a week run the vacuum and dust the rooms also.  I am proud of them.  They are at the age where they actually think chores are fun so I am taking advantage of that time in their lives.
I cleaned out and rearranged the pantry today.  What a job, but I like the way it turned out.

As some of you are aware Noah loves critters.  Big or small, scary or not..  We have a parakeet, two hermit crabs, the two dogs, and today a tadpole came in the mail.  He has raised caterpillars into butterflies and in the summer we saw them fly away.  We have to make sure he doesn't bring things in from outside but if there is something in the house we want removed he is the one to call.  He will take them out alive and release them in the grass/bush/dirt, where ever it will do best.  What fun.  He did have an ant farm but the ants did not do well so we let the few we had left go free.  We also feed five or more hummingbirds in the back yard, it is hard to tell just how many as they are so quick.  They are a lot of fun to watch at the feeders and if we happen to get to close they let us know. I hope his interest continues along with his love of nature.  Trinity on the other hand does not like creepy-crawlies.
