We visited Seal Beach

We had such a pleasant surprise this weekend.  Around noon Saturday Vonnie called from Colorado and asked it we would like some company this weekend.  She and daughter Michelle decided to come spent the day with us.  They arrived the next morning at John Wayne Airport in Orange County about 10:30 am and we had a wonderful day together.  We drove to Seal Beach  for lunch at Ruby's on the end of the pier, the weather was perfect and we watched the surfers try to catch the small waves that were rolling in.  After lunch we drove up to Rancho Los Alamitos  which is a historical site in Long Beach.  I was a docent there many years ago and I gave them a short tour of the place.  The garden was so pretty and starting to bloom.

At home we relaxed and they took a short nap prior to dinner.  Michelle wanted In and Out which they do not have there and so that was what we ate.  Yummy.  We never stopped talking the whole time they were here, we had so much to say and so little time to say it in.  

What a wonderful surprise and we hope they come back to see us again SOON!
