Time Marches On

Where did the time go?  Seems like I was just here telling you about Noah's arm.

We took an amazing trip last month, thanks to our daughter, Maria.  We all went to Williams Az. spent the night, caught the Rail to the Rim, spent the night at the Grand Canyon, took the train back to Williams, spent another night then drove to Phoenix, spent the night and drove home.  There, the trip in a nut shell. :)

We only ate lunch, no betting. :(

We left early in the morning on March 11th and headed toward Laughlin, Nevada where we stopped for lunch.  Just a small side trip so the kids could add one more state to the list of states they have visited.  We then hit the road and arrived in Williams, Arizona about 4 pm.  Poor Maria was fighting a throat infection and was taking antibiotics the whole trip and insisted on driving  because she could not do too much talking and knew the kids would not leave her alone if she was in the back seat with them.  We checked into our hotel rooms, went to dinner, and rested the rest of the evening.

At the depot

The next morning after breakfast we caught the train to the canyon.  The ride was wonderful, we saw some great scenery and were treated like royalty.  The ride was about 2 1/2 hours long and the kids had a super time.
We spent that day and half of the next exploring the area and enjoying the fantastic view.  The kids had enough snow to have a snow ball fight.  Even mommy and papa got smacked.  Too funny. On the second day we departed from the canyon back down to Williams where we spent the night again before setting off for Phoenix.

We needed our jackets the first day
The snowball fight!
Watch out nana

Mama got hit!  Trinity thinks it is too funny.

Too dang funny

Papa got some snow down his jacket

Mike Carp
We arrived in Phoenix in time to drop Gil and Ryan off in Peoria so they could watch a spring training game.  Gil had coached Mike Carp who is now playing on the Marlins and wanted to see him play.  He was not disappointed, his boy got a base hit.

While the guys were at the game Maria took the kids to the hotel water park.  The weather was perfect, high 80's,  and the kids had a great time. We spent the night there and left the next day for home.  The trip was wonderful and I would do it again in a heart beat.....

We made the paper
