Thanks to our dear friend.
School is almost over and the kids are so excited about the coming summer.  We are not going on a summer vacation this year.  We will be doing a lot of day trips and there are tons of fun things to do locally.  We are challenging ourselves to see how many great times we can come up with that cost little or no money!

Trips to the beach only 10 miles away
 El Dorado Park Nature Center
Picnic at one of our many local parks
Summer Concert Series at Del Val Park
Vacation Bible School at 1BL
Watch the sunset over the ocean
Water fun at San Martin park
Bike riding at Liberty Park
Swimming at Mayfair Pool
Chalk fun with neighbor kids
Visit the horse stables
Free movies at Edwards theater
Game night at home
Homemade ice cream
Water fun at Liberty Park
Play dates with school friends
Sleep over
Framers Markets

We would love to hear your suggestions.

The end of school is always very busy as you mommies all know.  They have music programs, school plays, kinder-graduation, school carnival,  last field trips, open house, and more.  This is a fun project Noah and Ryan did together.  Noah did the research and typed the essay on the computer.  He drew the specs  for the honey bee and Ryan put it together for him.  Note the big happy face.  The bee was to be in his natural habitat so we hung him from the sunflower.  We understand there is not much pollen to be found in the flower but it was big and the right color.

Noah's essay and 3-D project of an insect for Kindergarten.

Gil is coaching a Pony baseball team this summer and they had their first game last night.  He is very excited to get back in the game.  Ryan is helping him but has to be certified by the league before he can actually be on the field.

My thought for the day:
1 Peter 3
3  Do not let your adornment be
merely outward-arranging the
hair, wearing gold, or putting on
fine apparel-
4  rather let it be the hidden person
of the heart, with the incorruptible
beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit,
which is very precious in the sight
of God.
